From 26 to 27 November 2018, a joint training workshop of CIVITAS PROSPERITY and Eltis took place in Warsaw, Poland.
In the headquarters of the Federal Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, more than 20 participants representing 10 Polish cities received training support from external experts. The first day of the workshop was dedicated to the issues of mobility plans for traffic generators and practical aspects of SUMP implementation.
Experts from the Krakow University of Technology and the City of Gdynia presented the issues of the abovementioned aspects on the basis of real examples. On the second day of the workshop, financed by Eltis, the experts Irina Rotaru and Simone Bosetti introduced the subject of political support for SUMP and the use of public space. The workshop participants gave a high scores concerning the substantive and organisational level of the event, while drawing attention to the need for further training in other important aspects of the SUMP process.
