National training events and practical information

 

  • The trainings lasted for 4 full days and were carried out in local languages with translation of foreign experts.
  • Training events included:

    • Introduction to SUMP  
    • Up to 4 training sessions, minimum half day each (topics and trainers according to the training programme)
    • Study tour/site visit(s) showing the practices of the host city, connected to the topics of the training
    • Presentation of good practices/lessons learnt from other cities of the country
    • A variety of methodologies, focussing on interactivity and real engagement of the trainees
    • Free of costs participation and support of travel and subsistence for a certain number of trainees (authorities). The numbers of cities which received support were approx. up to 20 from RO, HU, PL, BG, PT, CZ, SI, LT, CY and HR.

The training is free of charge and is intended primarily for city and municipal representatives (technical and political level) with responsibilities / activities in the field of urban mobility. In addition, other interested stakeholders (e.g. consultants, representatives of public transport companies, representatives of NGOs, etc.) are also welcome. The number of training places is limited.
